When you first heard about switching to an online school, chances are you were worried you’d fall off the face of the earth. High school is where you go to socialize, after all!
And perhaps a decade ago, that would be true. In this digital age, however, connecting with people throughout the state is easier than ever! iSucceed has utilized technology tools to ensure our online high school students can socialize.
In fact, as many of our current students here at iSucceed know, meeting classmates and making friends is oftentimes much easier than at a traditional school. Here are some of the many ways iSucceed makes it easy to stay social in an online environment.
Hangouts Chat
iSucceed has an online Google Hangouts environment where you can contact your teachers and school staff. But, you can also meet your classmates there! iSucceed has student-led groups (monitored by teachers) where students can chat about classes, homework, and just get to know each other! It is a great way to find your classmates and talk with them in a safe and fun environment.
School Events
If you enjoy hanging out with friends and eating free food, chances are you will love our school events! Held throughout the school year, these activities are a great way to meet classmates and have some fun.
To name a few, we’ve held school events like Cupcake Wars, Bowling Nights and Pizza and Study events.
School events are open to all students at iSucceed! Oftentimes you can also bring your friends from other schools to join in on the fun.
Online Student Clubs
If you have a hobby you enjoy, come join a student club! iSucceed has a wide variety of online student clubs for students to meet fellow students who share similar likes and interests.
These clubs also hold monthly in-person events for yet another opportunity to socialize and make friends in online high school.
End of Year and Graduation
iSucceed offers annual end of year celebrations for all students. It is a great way to celebrate the school year coming to a close and yet another chance to meet with your classmates and friends.
And for those celebrating the biggest high school achievement, GRADUATION, rest assured that you won’t be missing out on any of the traditional bells and whistles. Our graduates get to enjoy the total experience; caps and gowns, graduation photos, walking down the isle in a packed auditorium. We do it all!
